Pennside Community Church

This past week, the Lord has really been opening doors for us here in Northwest PA. Let me tell you about an answer to prayer about one of the churches we are working with. Pennside Community Church, located around Albion, PA, has been closed for the past two years. The last time any time of service/outreach was done in the church was four or five years ago. We heard about Pennside through the retire missionary and then began contacting people associated with the church. Through this process we became aware of a gentleman who wanted to buy the property of the church, since his property literally surrounds the church. We did not know what was going to happen. We figure that we would winterize the church, fix the broken windows and wait to spring to see what would happen with the church.

We began talking to the gentleman who was seeking to buy the property and he told us that he still wanted it to be a church. He is a Catholic man who wants at least his children to go to church and hear the Christian Gospel. He told us that he also thinks that it would be wonderful for the community to have a church there again.

This past Tuesday, January 13, we received a call from him saying that he officially owns the church and that when spring comes he wants to begin fixing the interior and add running water so that we will be able to use it in the summer for outreaches. He told us that even though he owns the church property, we will be the ones in charge of the church. This is great news and a huge answer to prayer.

Please pray for this entire situation. Please pray that God would continue to work on this man's heart. We will keep you posted about this project.
